Terms of Use and Copyright Information

Users may

  • download audio and visual media to a personal or work computer or mobile device;
  • embed the visual and audio media in a web page using the supplied embed code.

Users with an upload account must with particular relevance to learners:

  • ensure they have written consent for the use of images, images of work or recordings of voices being used;
  • ensure that where images are used and the subjects are under 18 years of age and/or with learning difficulties the required written consent from a parent or guardian is acquired.

Users must not:

  • share their password:
  • upload copyright protected material. This includes copyright protected music used in background sound tracks to video/slideshows;
  • modify, sell or resell the visual or audio media;
  • remove, obscure or modify any copyright notices, text acknowledging or other means of identification or disclaimers as they may appear without prior written permission;
  • use all or any part of the visual and audio media for any Commercial Use or for any purpose other than Educational Purposes unless with the written consent of The Learning and Skills Network;
  • download and display or distribute any part of the visual or audio media on any electronic network, including without limitation the Internet, and the World Wide Web, and any other distribution medium now in existence or hereinafter created, other than by use of the supplied embed code link or direct file link supplied;
  • upload material which contain viruses, worms, trojan horse, harmful code, corrupted files, or any other similar software, code or programs that may damage the operation of a third party’s computer or which may be expected to do so;
  • transmit or link to ‘Offensive Material’ via this website. Offensive Material is that under any of the following:- unlawful material or information, vulgar, harassing, threatening, abusive, harmful, racist, sexist, obscene, pornographic, malicious, profane, libellous, defamatory, misleading, invasive of privacy, infringing, material that discloses private or personal matters concerning any person, sexually orientated, homophobic material or views, infringe any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights, constitute or encourage a criminal offence, purport to be posted by someone other than the person posting, purport to be validated or authorised by someone when it has not been;
